Insula Fruges S.L. We are a producer of premium-quality organic tropical fruits, with
a focus on papaya.
The company was created in 2018. Its core mission is providing organic fruits of the highest nutritional quality in order to contribute to people’s health and well-being. The company adds value to a sustainable agricultural system committed to the environment.
The farm is strategically located, on the north coast of the Canary island of Tenerife, where the orography and natural quality of the soil contribute to the organic richness of the soil and the climate favours optimum growth and strength of the plant.
The production and distribution process is subject to the most rigorous quality standards; a specialised technical team guarantees compliance with the most recent European regulations on organic production.
All this allows us to ensure optimum quality and flavour in our fruit, which are essential conditions for local and export markets. Ecological and sustainable cultivation, with maximum respect for the environment.

Features
High sugar levels even in winter production; excellent post-harvest properties; fleshy but firm texture; aroma of white flowers, with a slight taste of coconut and some citrus in the mouth; high content of papain and vitamins A and C. The qualities of taste, sugar and aroma that characte – rize the variety in the country of origin are intensified.
Colour
Outside: Lime green when cut for export, which turns to orange when ripe.
Inside: Intense orange.
LOCATION
Insula Fruges is located in Valle de Guerra, on the north coast of Tenerife (Canary Islands). A location that stands out for its warm climate and constant temperatures throughout the year.
Farm
The cultivation area is equipped with 30,000 m2 of greenhouses, but currently in the process of expansion.
Irrigation
We have high quality, low conductivity water from the gallery/well on the property.
Performance
The farm has a continuous production of 160,000 kg to 200,000 kg per year, without production breaks, of which 70 % corresponds to size 4 fruit.
